Divas with Promise

             Divas With Promise is an organization for young ladies in middle and high school. Our primary focus is the empowerment of young women with the skills needed for success this year and beyond. Focuses are on exploration of talents and abilities, exposure to diverse opportunities in and outside our community, motivation to achieve excellence in daily living and long term endeavors.

             Girls will participate in group study of such things as appropriate dress, manners, social skills, job skills, fine dining, financial planning, educational opportunities, and career opportunities. An emphasis will be placed on the development of positive self-esteem and core values.

 

             Field trips and other off-site opportunities will be offered during the course of the year.. For example, if dining is being studied, then a trip to a nice restaurant will be planned, or if business skills are being addressed then successful business women within the community will be invited to share experiences.

             Divas with Promise is founded and sponsored by Divine Diva’s Social Club, Caroline Parks and Recreation and Caroline’s Promise, with a core adult leadership advisory team to include educators, community leaders, and other business partners. This team will comprise the advisory board.

             Members will be selected by the advisory board through an application process at both the middle and high schools of Caroline.

             Monthly meetings at an off-site location will occur on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Girls will need their own transportation to and from meetings. Meetings will be at the Community Services Center in Milford (beside Bowling Green Primary School
