If you live, work, or do business in Caroline County, it is our hope that you have experienced the effect that Caroline’s Promise is having on the young people of our wonderful county! Caroline’s Promise is dedicated to the physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being of every child in Caroline. A daunting task, but we are up for the challenge!
Caroline’s Promise is funded completely through the giving spirit of the community. Thank you to the Caroline County Board of Supervisors for their continued support of an annual donation. All other funding comes directly from business community donations. We rely on these donations to fulfill our mission of meeting the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of the youth of Caroline. Please consider a donation today!
Since 2003, area businesses and professional organizations have been asked to accept the promises that Caroline has made to its young people by contributing financially to these efforts. This year, your business is being asked to participate in the:
“Redskins Score Points for Caroline’s Kids” Campaign
By pledging $1 or $2 for every point the Redskins earn during the 2007-2008 regular season, or by making a one time donation, you will be making a strong commitment to the youth of our community and in turn help to sponsor programs that add quality to their lives.
The support of loyal businesses and volunteers has been instrumental in strengthening the lives of children through the work of Caroline’s Promise. These programs happen only through your continued contributions.
Based on the funding received to date we have provided:
· Divas with Promise (provides opportunities for young ladies of the community ages 12 to 18, enhances life experiences and raises personal aspirations.)
· Fishing Clinic
· Youth Ambassadors of Caroline-participated in a “Seniors Prom and Talent Show” for our seniors Bowling Green Health Care Center.
· Launching of Mentoring Program-A one to one mentoring program
· Hosted Annual Community Celebrations-Halloween, 4th of July, Photos with Santa, and Harvest Festival
· Congregations of Promise-Unity Fest, Provided speaker for Schools Doug Herman
· School Lunch Buddies
If you have accepted the Redskins Challenge and participated in previous years, we thank you. Please plan to sign-up again this year! We urgently need your contributions in order to continue and expand our programming.
The need is great, please take up the promises and donate! As a nonprofit organization, Caroline’s Promise is exempt from federal tax under the 501(c)(3) Section of the IRS code and therefore, all donations are tax deductible.
